Bridging the digital divide

On the 20th of March, at a ceremony held in Geneva, BCom has been awarded the digital solidarity label for it's participation in bridging the digital divide.

Video Uplink in PAKISTAN

March 15 2007

BCom has completed the installation of a redundant satellite uplink station for a new satellite TV channel in Islamabad,Pakistan. The installation included full RF, video encoding and modulation redundancy.

Connecting Afghanistan

BCom has finished the installation of a large GSM backhaul satellite network in several cities in Afghanistan including Kabul, Mazar el Sherif, Kunduz and Herat,using 4.5 and 7.3 mtr antennas with full RF redundancy and GSM link optimization equipment.

Fighting AIDS

BCom completed for the Digital Solidarity Fund, an NGO based in Geneva, the supply, installation, and support of several VSAT stations in Burkina Faso and Burundi as part of a worldwide network of VSAT stations providing internet access for Tele-medicine and Tele-education.

1st Phase of OPTESS Oil & Gas Completed

BCom completed the the installation of the last OPTESS site at the Royal Infirmary in Aberdeen Scotland marking the completion of the 1st phase of the project.

OPTESS Oil & Gas Telemedicine Project

BCom has been awarded by Eutelsat & D'Appolonia the task of installing & maintaining the Telemedicine applications satellite terminals for the OPTESS network using 2.4mtr antennas & Viasat Linkway DAMA system.
